Istanbul Beyazit Tower Turkey

The tower is located in the garden of Istanbul University Beyazit Campus

Beyazit Tower was built for the purpose of observing the fires and giving information. It is located in the Beyazit district of Istanbul. It was built in 1749 as 85 meters high wood. The stairs up to the observation point consist of 180 steps. The tower was rebuilt in 1828 during the reign of Sultan Mahmud II. The tower is located in the garden of Istanbul University Beyazit Campus.
